Liliana glared down at the box on her desk like it had personally offended her. Because it had, by the sheer virtue of not being exactly what she wanted.
"That's all?" she asked in disbelief. "In the entire store, that's
all. Not even twenty!" She glared down harder at the box in question, but the numbers did not change no matter how hard she willed it so.
Ugh.
Fine then, she'd start with this poor lot, she supposed. If she couldn't find something suitable here, she'd just move on. Ravnica, probably, or possibly Kaladesh? She'd heard stories of famed craftsmen in Fiora, perhaps she could find some time to take a little 'Walk there and see if those stories were true...Though that would make this little project of hers far more complicated and far more difficult to keep secret until it was ready.
Annoyed all over again, she dumped the box out onto the surface of her desk. The rings tumbled out in a series of soft metallic clangs. Once she had all eighteen laid out in front of her, she began the winnowing process. "No...no....
ugly...no...
cursed...hmm,
potential, perhaps...no...no...useful but
ugly...
absolutely not, whoever designed this should be ashamed...
useless...no...
boring...no..."
Abyss, this was going to take
forever. Why were most artificers cursed with such
appalling taste in jewelry?
