Fandom Island Museum, Thursday Daytime

Winter holidays were just around the corner, so Steven was busy researching ideas for new things the Museum could do to educate and celebrate the season.

He found himself looking up the museums back home. And then getting distracted because the V&A had a rather interesting lesson on accessibility coming up soon. He wondered if perhaps he and Llewellyn could pop by while it was happening...

Which would be useful for the museum here as well! It was work related, truly!

One way or another, Steven was taking notes. He was also available to talk to any visitors who might wish to speak with him.

Atlas Gym; Wednesday [11/19].

Harvesttime at Soulwood had meant s lot of extra work that year, something definitely never bothered Nell and Gladio much. It did mean they'd been a little sparse around the island, though, but Gladio tried to pop back in here and there to take care of a few things, not to mention swinging by to see Prompto and Liz and the new baby, and then swinging by thee gym to make sure everything had been going okay and gremlins hadn't just ransacked the place without his eye on them.

All in one piece. No broken equipment. No new holes over the pool in the basement.

All good news, but none of it as good as the Cup NoodleTM claw machine had been updated with some holiday flavors.

Now that was going to be the perfect thing to munch on while catching up on paperwork and phone calls.

The Park, Wednesday Afternoon

Gregorith idly twirled his favorite pen, shaped like Mr. What's Musical Multi-tool(tm) as he circled the troll "statues", occasionally stopping and sketching something, paying special attention to the faces. And sometimes he'd tuck both pad and pen away so he could pull out his phone for picture taking.

He was possibly overthinking an art project.

Over Easy, Wednesday

Gray...was not thrilled by today's special. "But it's not even Thanksgiving yet," he protested, but his protests fell on deaf ears, considering he was the guy who had wanted it to be Christmas since November first.

Which was rather later than certain retailers had hopped on the Christmas bandwagon, so he had that going for him, at least. It was kind of nice not to be the most unreasonable about Christmas.

The Devil's Nest, Wednesday Evening

There was a Christmas tree at the club. Octavia was eyeing it with mild confusion.

"Isn't there a whole different holiday left between now and Candlenights?"

No, she didn't remember what Thanksgiving was called, and yes, that was what she was sticking with for the holiday in late December.

Also no, Tiny wasn't really answering her. Maybe he was just hoping she would let it go and he'd be able to get away with it for a little bit?

MCA #1- Tuesday morning

It wasn't Rey's first time turning little, but it was the first time since she'd found everything out about herself, and today was… a lot. Not bad. But a lot. She was in such a different place now, and she wasn't used to that mindset anymore, which had made the change back feel a little jarring. And she missed her parents.

It didn't help that she still had to undo some things from the weekend. For instance, her tiny self had gotten into the huge pantry and put together a little go bag in case it was needed, and now her adult self got to put it all back. At the same time, it was a shame it wasn't a bigger project to keep her occupied. She'd go slow.

Infinite Consortium, Monday

Did Lili know that she technically ran this store? No she did not. Did she know that today was the day she was normally in the store, ostensibly 'working'? Also no. What she did know was that she was looking for a super fun present to surprise Ignis with and this place seemed to have so many good treasures!

And also there was a crate. Just waiting to be opened. Because what was a crate except a really big present?

She knew she should wait for a grownup. But also, she had a crowbar (probably a bad idea) and a can-do attitude (honestly worse) and with just a little more work, she could probably get this thing open! Wheee!

Pick Your Poison, Monday

Did Pam expect a lot of customers today, considering what Adrian had told her about the kids? No. But she'd left the swamp yesterday to make something of a detour to a local recycling plant - and since for the first time in months there was no time pressure riding on her shoulders, she figured she might as well stop by the store.

Most of the product had remained as-is, but there was a whole lot more children's bubble bath on the shelves than she remembered.

"I'm not going to check the ingredients," she muttered, as she walked past those shelves towards the counter. "I am not."

Vi was not sorry to have missed the latest round of weirdness, the previous time that had happened had been enough to stir up some very uncomfortable feelings, and she hadn't needed a repeat.

The displays, however, had not seemed to have gotten the message.

Fandom Museum, Sunday November 16

Gregorith was feeling so much better. He could breathe, he was no longer in pain, though he still had a horrific sounding cough so he was still wearing a mask. Other demons (Asmodeus) might still have been convalescing at this stage of a cold, but Gregorith was a workaholic dedicated professional so here he was.

And a bit confused. He didn't know that some of the island residents had gone wee tiny so he wasn't certain why the exhibit hall seemed to have converted itself to what appeared to be a life size, walk through diorama of a forest with helpful and colorful signs saying what all the trees and plants were, and statues of local fauna, also with signs.

There was also a facsimile woah I spelled that right the first time of the school and the lighthouse that kids could crawl around in. Oh and a cave with a slide.

Actually he was a bit jealous that he was too tall to play in there.

Also an arts and crafts station had appeared in the gallery upstairs.

The museum is open and kid friendly!

Needful Things; Friday Noon Onwards

Harley had been bouncing around off the island for the past week or so, after the Slaughter Swamp incident and the surprise visit to New York that had followed. She'd actually been planning (as much as Harley planned anything) to continue on in that same vein - but then there had been a phone call about a delivery on the island, for an order that she'd completely forgotten about.

So she'd had to rush back to Fandom to let some big burly delivery guys into the building, so that they could bring in the big honkin' canopy bed she'd ordered while on the fall break trip. Because there'd been canopy beds there, and she'd kind of been between beds for a while now, and was easily influenced sometimes when it came to treating herself, and, you know. That whole thing.

So that had been her morning.

By noon, things upstairs in the apartment were settled - a mess, but settled! - and the store door was open, and Harley was downstairs, puttering around with a giant mug of coffee.

Considering taking the Halloween decor down. Not actually doing it yet.

Thursday found Steven at his usual spot behind the Welcome Desk. He'd unearthed an old binder of Blathers' about events on the island that were from years ago.

Currently Steven was reading up on something about a zombie invasion which happened two decades prior.

Steven couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to get caught in something like that. Assuming he ever was caught in something like that instead of someone else taking his job for some reason.

Preposterous idea, really. Who would even think of such a thing?

Steven continued his reading, though of course he was interruptible should anyone need him.

There was an article about turning recycled plastics into clothing, which seemed cool on the surface until you realized that once the plastics got turned into clothing, they couldn't be recycled again. With a small chuckle, he left a Post-It with Check this out, Pam! tucked into the magazine, already imagining her reaction.

A Hospital on the Mainland; Late Wednesday Morning [11/12].

It had happened earlier that morning, like a promise of all the mornings ahead where they'd be roughly pulled out of sleep by the demands of a tiny little human, but Prompto was ready, he was preparing for this since....well, all of last month, really, so getting Liz to the hospital to have their baby went....

Well, he wouldn't use the word smoothly, there was no small amount of chaos, but it did go quickly, and then once there? It was just a matter of time and a lot of anxious pacing on Prompto's part and a lot of...well...a lot more work on Liz's. And a lot of questions from Noctra that Prompto thought he'd be prepared for, but...well...there was just a lot going on, okay, interspersed with moment of waiting that made for an interesting juxtaposition.

Finally, though, he was able to send out the text announcement to friends and family that he'd been itching to send out since...well, all of last month, really:

Welcome to the world
Trevor Corleonis Argentum!!!

He, of course, included loads of pictures of the wrinkly little boy, especially with his proud mama and very uncertain looking big sister, and mentioned how everything had gone really well, hospital room information if anyone wanted to swing by with well-wishes or whatever else, and then he was going to be completely over the moon over this new additional bright light in their lives.

The Perk, Tuesday Afternoon

A feeling Marc was going to chalk up to restlessness had him doing a walk around the island with no particular goal in mind other than to walk around the island.

Once the path brought him by the Perk, he figured what the hell. Grab a coffee and maybe a box of something to leave in the boarding house kitchen for whoever wanted anything.

Marc wasn't examining that instinct too closely either.

(Obviously he would get something for Watts and Steven too. That part went without saying.)

He was in no rush, though, so he grabbed a coffee and a muffin for himself and took a seat at a table by the windows. Then, long as he was taking a load off, he got out his phone to text Crawley to see how things were back home.

It was a much rejuvenated Pam who opened up Pick Your Poison on that Monday morning, having spent much of Sunday back in Slaughter Swamp. Harley-her-Harley had shown up with gardening supplies, and they'd made good work that day.

It wasn't like she expected Harley to commit to gardening for long. It was Harley. But the day had made her happy.

And now she was back here, setting the shop to rights. Looking at everything on the shelves with new eyes. Around noon, she stole into the garden at last and took her shoes off, putting her feet in the dirt.

There'd been a lot of damage done here, too. She was going to enjoy spending the rest of her day coaxing it all back to life.

Today's shipment was already in the display window, a truly fascinating pair of leather gloves. Well, okay, one of the gloves was in the window; she was currently studying the other in an attempt to puzzle out the glyphs and runes that had been inscribed into them. She had a basic idea of what they did, but that wasn't anywhere near the same as knowing precisely what each rune did, and how, and why.
